Blackburn Men's Soccer falls to Principia

Blackburn Men's Soccer Team falls to Principia College by the score of 4-0 on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in Carlinville, IL.

 

  • Blackburn was outshot by the Panthers 48-3.  Principia was led by Kaden Keller with 15 shots and one goal. The Beavers had three players with one shot each.
  • Chase Fiedler had 18 saves for Blackburn. Nick Klusmeyer had one save for the Panthers.

 

 

 

The score after one period was 1-0 Principia with the Panthers dominating the ball control and outshooting Blackburn 27-0. In the second period Principia continued to control the ball as they outshot the Beavers 21-3. The Panthers scored two goals, both in the 77th minute.  The final goal was score in the 87th minute.

 

 

Blackburn drops to 2-7-1 (0-3 SLIAC), while Principia improves to 5-4 (3-0 SLIAC).  The Beavers will travel to St. Louis to battle with Fontbonne University on Tuesday, October 15th. The game will begin at 6:00 P.M.
