Blackburn Women's Soccer Drops Season Opener to Alverno

The Blackburn Beavers Women's Soccer team dropped their season opening game to the visiting Alverno Inferno, by a score of 3-0. The game took place on August 31st, 2019 at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois. 

 

  • The Inferno scored one goal in the first period and twice in the second period. 
  • Shaye Wolf scored two goals and an assist for Jess Flores, who scored the third goal.
  • Alverno goalkeeper Kenzie Bermudez defended fantastically with thirteen saves.
  • Beavers were led offensively by Morgan Adams, who had thirteen shots.
  • Goalkeeper Morgan Zobrist for the Beavers had nine saves.

 

The Beavers are now 0-1 on the season. They will look to even out their record tomorrow, September 1st, 2019, as they take on the visiting Lakeland College Lakers. The game will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois.
