Abby Maurer enters her sixth year as Head Athletic Trainer. In addition to her athletic training duties, she enters her second year as an adjunct yoga instructor. 

Prior to coming to Blackburn, Abby was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at McKendree University for three years. She evaluated, treated, and provided medical coverage for NCAA Division II women’s lacrosse, women’s and men’s cross country, and women’s and men’s indoor and outdoor track and field. 

She also spent four years as an undergraduate Athletic Training Student at NAIA Olivet Nazarene University. She provided medical coverage for women’s and men’s cross country, women’s and men’s indoor and outdoor track and field, women’s and men’s swimming, football, and various high school outreach programs. 

Abby graduated with a Master in Business Administration from McKendree University in May 2018, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Olivet Nazarene University in 2015. She currently enjoys life in her lake house just outside Carlinville with her fiancé Josh.
