Blackburn College Sophomore Tyler Jackson was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week for the week that ended on April 4.

Jackson, from Mesa, Arizona (Skyline HS) hit .600 with one home run and two runs batted in during a four game series against Iowa Wesleyan. He had multiple hits in three of the games including a four hit outing in game one. Jackson also scored three runs on the weekend and drew two walks while finishing with a .933 slugging percentage.

Jackson has played in 10 of the Beavers 16 games due to injury but leads Blackburn in hitting with a .517 average currently.
