DALLAS, TEXAS -- The Blackburn College Baseball team concluded their spring break trip to Texas by defeating Dallas Christian College 3-2 Saturday. 

The game began Friday afternoon but rain caused the game to be suspended with Blackburn leading 1-0. The teams returned to action Saturday to conclude the matchup. 

In the second inning on Friday, Zach Knox scored to give the Beavers a lead. Brett Lander extended the BC lead Saturday with a run in both the fifth and sixth inning. The hosts managed to get close with two runs in the bottom of the final inning but Blackburn held on to capture a 3-2 victory. 

The teams were originally scheduled to play another game but it was cancelled due to rain.

Blackburn will return from their trip but will stay on the road for their next contest as they head to Monmouth College Wednesday.
