BELLEVILLE, IL - Senior Jason Hedges was named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Baseball All-Sportsmanship Team.

Hedges finished the year with 23 hits and hit five doubles and a home run. He also scored 19 runs while knocking in 13. His home run came in the team's final game of the season, a 10-0 victory over Principia College on Senior Day. Earlier in the season, he finished 3-3 with three doubles in a close game with Eureka. 

In addition to playing outfield, Hedges also saw time on the mound where he went 1-1 and also record the team's only save of the season. After overcoming an injury that saw him miss three weeks, he returned to throw three strikeouts in his final two innings. 

The Beavers finished the season winning two of the final three game including a 7-5 win over regional power Illinois Wesleyan University.
