Beavers fall to Nebraska Wesleyan

The Blackburn Beavers Mens Basketball team dropped their first game in the Synder Classic to Nebraska Wesleyan by the score of 121-93 on Friday in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Despite the Beavers shooting 48% from the field and 50% from behind the three point arch, turnovers turned out to be crucial as the Beavers turned the ball over 14 times in the first half.

Cooper Cook led the game with 29 points and 9 rebounds for the Prairie Wolves. Chris Davis of the Beavers finished with 17 points.

The Beavers finished with 29 turnovers and could not stop the steady three pointers coming from the Prairie Wolves.

The Beavers fall to 3-3 and are back in action on Saturday as they finish off the Synder Classic in Lincoln against Cornell College.
