Beavers hold off the Gorloks in a tough conference clash

The Blackburn Beavers Men's Basketball Team defeated the Webster Gorloks by the score of 65-60 on Saturday Evening at Webster.

The first half started off well for the Beavers. Blackburn did a excellent job boxing out Webster leading the glass by 14 at the half. DeAndre Manuel led the Beavers with eight points and eight rebounds all in the first half. The Beavers led the Worloks 38-29 at the half.

The Second half was just as exciting as the first. The Beavers and Gorloks battled it to the finish as they competed for important conference positions. Tommy Childs had seven points in the second half. Jordan Clay also came off the bench and knocked down two big threes in the game. The Gorlok's Evan Milligan had twelve points in the second half and finished the game with 22 points.

The Beavers improve to 9-7 in Conference and 12-11 overall. 

Blackburn is back in action on Wednesday night in Carlinville as they take on Spalding at 8:00pm.
