ST. LOUIS, MO – Senior Izayah Talmadge was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 26 points in the team's 79-76 victory over SLIAC rival Eureka College Wednesday night. 

The senior leader finished 11-17 from the field to lead all players with his 26 points. The game marked the fourth time in his career he reached 20 points in a game. He also added six rebounds, three assists and two steals to help guide the Beavers to their third SLIAC win of the season. 

On Sunday, Blackburn visited NCAA Division I opponent, Eastern Illinois University, where Talmadge posted 13 points with seven rebounds and four assists. 

The Beavers are currently 4-5 on the season and 3-1 in SLIAC play. The team returns to action on Wednesday, December 20 to host Loras College.
