Men's Basketball Falls to Webster

WEBSTER GROVE, MO -- Blackburn College Men's Basketball visited Webster University in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action but fell to the hosts 85-54. 

Leading the Beavers was senior Brody Barr with 14 points. Sophomore Darius Duff added 12. Senior Izayah Talmadge notched a team-best seven assists. 

The Gorloks jumped out to an early 11-4 lead four minutes into the game, with Duff making two layups for the BC points. Three minutes later Webster held a 16-10 lead with Duff adding another layup and free throw and sophomore Cayden Paquette hitting a three. However, Webster was able to rally out to a 24-10 lead and would take a 42-22 lead into halftime. BC would fight back and pull within 10 three minutes into the second half, 44-34, but were unable to pull any closer, eventually falling 85-54. 

Blackburn will return to action Saturday and will visit Principia College in another SLIAC contest.
