MONMOUTH, IL -- The Blackburn College Men's Golf team opened their 2024 spring season by taking part in the Fighting Scot Invitational hosted by Monmouth College. The teams began the event Saturday and were scheduled to continue into Sunday but day two was cancelled due to rain.

Sophomore Kevin Hall led the Beavers with a round of 81 to finish in a tie for 13th while sophomore Bryce Wrightsman was right behind with a round of 82 to tie for 17th. Sophomore Dylan Best finished with an 88. Junior Jacob Sauvage, 98, and sophomore  Nick Rosborough, 101, rounded out the Blackburn squad. BC finished the event in sixth place with a total score of 349.

Blackburn returns to action Thursday and Friday as they travel to Jacksonville for the Blueboy Invite hosted by Illinois College.
