The Beavers faced Spalding University Monday in Louisville, Kentucky during their fall break.

Spalding came out firing in the first half scoring 5 goals quickly on Blackburn.

In the second half though, the Beavers came out and proved to the Golden Eagles that they were not going down without a fight. The match turned into more of an even game, allowing Blackburn to get some offensive strikes in. Spalding continued to score 4 more goals but made a mistake late in the last half, scoring on themselves and preventing a shut out game.

Blackburn had 3 total shots on goal while keeper Shane Rogers had 8 saves of his own.

The men play Principia this Saturday in Elsah, Illinois before the women at 1pm. They are hoping to gain another conference win and improve their season record of 6-6-1.
