On Saturday, October 12, in Carlinville, the Blackburn College Men's Soccer Team competed against the Gorloks of Webster University in a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game. The fast paced game ended with Webster on top 2-0 which makes their record 8-2-3. Blackburn was out-shot 44-3 in the game which put a lot of pressure on the Blackburn goal keeper.

Shane Rodgers, Blackburn goal keeper, was a key player in the game for Blackburn. He recorded 21 saves and allowed only two goals. Blackburn had three shots on the day but was unable to connect with any of their shots.

Blackburn moves to 6-5-1 on the season and 1-2 in the conference. The team’s next contest is in Louisville, Kentucky against conference opponent Spalding University on October, 14. The game is scheduled to start at 11:00 AM.
