Men`s Soccer Team Seeks Out First Home Win

The Men`s Blackburn Soccer Team conquered their first home win tonight against Lincoln Christian. The match proved to be very physical with six fouls on each team. Many Beavers pitched in to make the shots on goal a total of twenty four. Nate Kinnison (Perryville, Mo.), Daniel Nguepnang (Springfield, Ill.), Sam Tomas-Guerrero (Litchfield, Ill.), Tommy Millburg (Litchfield, Ill.), Brian Asper (Sherman, Ill.), Mikey Stephenson (Raymond, Ill.), Scott Armstrong (Freeport, Ill.), Lucas Rinderer (Highland, Ill.), and Steven Njuba (Boston, Mass.) all had shots on goal. The Blackburn defense showed off some offense skills as their sweeper, Steven Njuba, scored two of the three goals during the match. Another defender, Brian Asper, also was an offensive threat to put one in for the Beavers. Goalkeeper, Ryan Cowsert (Harrisburg, Ill.) came up with four saves for the match.

The Men`s Soccer team look to continue their at home winning streak as they take on Concordia College tomorrow at 4:00pm.
