Blackburn College Senior Defender Steven Njuba was named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference Third team.  Despite being a defender, Njuba tied for the team lead with six goals scored as he was placed in the goal box during corner kicks.  His play on the defensive end was where he excelled as his play kept the Beavers in many games all season long.

"Steven is very deserving of this honor, frankly he proved himself to be one of the elite defenders in the conference despite his third team recognition," said Blackburn Coach Rob Steinkuehler.  "Steven is the best defender we've had at Blackburn during my time here," added Steinkuehler.
