ST. LOUIS, MO. -- The Blackburn College Men's Soccer team was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Sportsmanship Team Award winner while freshman Sam Burrows earned conference recognition as he was selected to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

Burrows appeared in 13 matches with one start during his first season with the Beavers. During the preseason, he broke the team's Beaver Buster record in preseason training. "Sam is one of the hardest-working kids on the team," said head coach Josh Oswald. "He is a positive influence and is always wiling to help pick up his teammates.
