Track & Field Competes at SLIAC Indoor Championships

ELSAH, IL -- The Blackburn College Men's and Women's Track team competed in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships and came back with nine school records. 

On the women's side, Molly Koskey set two new school records. Her time of 6:29.35 in the mile placed her ninth, while her 3000 meter run time of 13:20.21 placed her 11th.

Andrea Sexton set a new record time of 31.26 in the 200 meter dash, and she tied a school record in the 400 meter dash by crossing the finish line in 1:12.74. 

The men's side saw Kobe Patton posted record times of 8.15 in the 60 meter dash and 27.38 in the 200 meter dash. Sam Burrows ran a 4:59.59 in the mile to break his own school record while Christian Miller set a record in the 3000 meter run in 12:05.33. Miller also posted a time of 6:10.44 in the mile. 

Collyn Oberkfell jumped a distance of 17 feet, 9 3/4 inches in the long jump to set a new school mark while also notching a time of 2:22.44 in the 800.
