The Blackburn College Women's Basketball Team fell to the visiting Greenville College Panthers on Wednesday evening by a socre of 73-45.

Despite having three players in double figures, Blackburn was outmatched by Laura Goodnight (game-high 23 points). Senior Briana Rae (Staunton, Ill.) has now logged a double-digit scoring effort in each game this season with her eleven points tonight. The captain also grabbed ten boards for her 13th double-double of the year.

Freshman Candace Pollock (Milwaukee, Wisc.) scored a career-high fifteen points to lead the team. her previous game-high was back on New Year's Eve on the road against Illinois College when she netted fourteen. Alicia George (Lake Charles, La.) also chipped in ten points for the Beavers.

Both teams had trouble making shots in the early going but the difference was Greenville started to heat up whereas Blackburn did not. The Beavers shot 17.9% in the first half and just 24.2% in the game as well as only 2-13 from beyond the arc. Greenville, despite making only 4-24 three-point attempts, shot 38.4% from the field in the game.

The Beavers are now 0-18 on the year and 0-11 in the SLIAC. Next on the schedule is a trip to Iowa Wesleyan to take on the Tigers this Saturday at 1:00 PM.
