The Blackburn Women`s Soccer Team traveled to Galesburg, Illinois to play non-conference matches against Coe College and Knox College. The first match took place on Saturday the 5th at 5:30 pm against Coe College. The Beavers held their own and was tied 0-0 going into halftime. Blackburn quickly fell behind after getting scored on four times in a row coming out in the second half. Christin Miller finally put one on the board for the Beavers ten minutes before the game was over. The final score was 4-1.
The second match against Knox College was played on Sunday the 6th at 4:00 pm. The Beavers only had two subs going into this match due to injuries. The Beavers fought hard but came up with a loss of 5-0.
Blackburn (0-3) look to rebound as they travel to Rockford Illinois to play Rockford University in a non-conference battle on Wednesday the 9th. Start time is slated for 2:00 pm.
