Blue Jays Offense Too Much for Beavers

On September 30th, the Blackburn Women's Soccer team took on the Westminster College Blue Jays on Homecoming Day.  The day was filled with fun activities for students and alumni.  With a large crowd watching the Beavers wanted to show they had something the prove, but the Blue Jays offense proved to be too much for the Beavers as they lost by a final score of 6-0.

The Beavers found themselves tied heading into the 32nd minute.  Gracie Koonce from Westminster College however changed that with a goal and the assist came from Payton Beeler.  The Blue Jays would score again before the first half would end with a goal from Paige Townsend, assisted by Isabel Peng.  The Blue Jays would later score four goals in the second half.

Marie Cline of Blackburn continued her outstanding performance in the goal for the Beavers with seven saves.  Cline currently has 138 saves on the season.

The Beavers are back in action on October 3rd when they travel to Principia College, to take on the Panthers at 8:00 pm.
