Women's Tennis Splits Matches at SLIAC Tournament

The Blackburn College Women's Tennis Team split their two matches in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tennis Tournament held at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis.

The Beavers defeated Fontbonne University 5-0 in the second match of the day.  Karlee Brimberry won 6-1, 6-4, Maggie Best won 6-1, 6-1, Megan Isringhausen won 6-1, 6-1, Sam Brown won 6-0, 6-1, and Liz Orr won 6-0, 6-0.  Megan Williamson was leading her match 6-4, 3-3 but it was not finished. This was a great turnaround from earlier in the season when Fontbonne defeated Blackburn 6-3 on March 20.

Earlier in the day, Blackburn was defeated by Greenville by a 5-0 score. Maggie Best had one the first set in her match 6-4 and was trailing 4-1 in a match that was not finished.
