The Blackburn Women's Volleyball team was defeated by Illinois College on Wednesday evening three games to none. The Beavers were off rhythm and struggled to find an answer for Illinois' serve attack.

In the first set, the Beavers lost 25-10 with Illinois delivering five straight service points multiple times through out the game. In the second set the beavers showed signs of life, yet were unable to grab the lead losing the second set 25-20. In the final set the Beavers could not dig themselves out of a hole losing 25-14.

Freshman Allie Matt led the Beavers with eight kills and chipped in five digs. Blackburn now falls to an overall record of 0-6 and will look to rebound against MacMurray College and Eureka College·on Saturday, September 15th at home to begin confrence play.
