The Blackburn College volleyball team lost a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match on Thursday night to Fontbonne University. Blackburn lost in three sets with scores of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-16.

The Beavers were led by senior Jessica McClelland, with eight kills, one serve ace, and six digs. Junior Amy Walton, Blackburn’s libero, added ten digs and Amanda Miller provided the team with another eight digs.

This loss makes moves Blackburn to 1-19 on the season and 0-12 in conference play. Fontbonne University moves to 7-12 on the season and 5-6 in conference.

The Blackburn College volleyball team will be back in action on October 22, in Jacksonville for a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match at MacMurray College. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.
