"I am extremely grateful for the opportunity that Blackburn College have given me. I was lucky enough to work under and learn from fantastic mentors in my three previous seasons in assistant coaching positions, and I truly feel they have prepared me for this step. Having been a previous player and coach in the SLIAC, I am aware of the culture and expectations of this competitive conference. I am very excited to begin my head coaching career working with a such a dedicated group of young ladies and can't wait to take my knowledge as player, and pass it on to them," said Hauser.

As a player, Hauser enjoyed a great four-year volleyball career at MacMurray and also at Lincoln Land Community College.  An outside-hitter at MacMurray, she was named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic All Conference team in both of her seasons, set the school record for kills in a season, was named offensive most valuable player both seasons, and was a member of the academic all-conference team in 2015.  At Lincoln Land, Hauser was a utility hitter while the Loggers went 66-17 in her two seasons including the first trip to the national tournament in years in 2012.

A native of Moline, Illinois, Hauser also has four years of coaching experience as the Head Coach of the Capital Area Volleyball Club from 2012-15.

"We are very pleased to welcome Morgan Hauser to our staff as Head Volleyball Coach.  Coach Hauser has experienced collegiate volleyball success as both a student-athlete and an Assistant Coach.  She has the work ethic and strong knowledge base to be a very successful volleyball coach at Blackburn," said Blackburn Athletic Director John Malin.
