The Blackburn Women's Volleyball Team defeated Eureka College 3-0, by the scores of 25-11, 25-17, 28-26, on Tuesday, October 15th in Carlinville Illinois.
This marks the first time the Beavers have swept the Red Devils in over ten years. The season series is split one to one.
- Blackburn was led by sophomore Lucy Magnussen who had thirteen kills. Junior Outside Hitter, Kaitlyn Wiegand and sophomore Outside Hitter Kasey Bean each had ten kills.
- Junior setter Kendall Burleyson had another big night as she credited with 31 assists. Freshman Autumn Wilson had eight assists and four serves aces.
The Beavers have won three in a row and are currently 6th in the SLIAC standings. After tonight Blackburn improves to 6-13 (5-6 SLIAC). Eureka falls to 5-17 (2-9 SLIAC). The Beavers will travel to Iowa Wesleyan on Thursday October 17th to take on the Tigers at 7:00 P.M.
