Blackburn College Freshman Hitter Elizabeth Bowyer had ten kills but the Beavers lost a three set decision to Monmouth College on Tuesday night in Monmouth by the scores of 25-13, 25-22, and 25-13.  Sophmore Lucy Magnussen had eight kills and Kaitlyn Wiegand has seven for Blackburn which slips to 0-7 on the season.

Junior Kendall Burleyson had 21 assists and four serve aces to lead Blackburn.  

The Beavers continue their 21 days on the road as they will travel to Louisville, Kentucky to open conference play wiith three matches.  Blackburn will take on Principia on Friday and then Spalding and Webster on Saturday before returning on the 25th for their conference home opener against MacMurray
