Volleyball Drops Tough Match at Lincoln Christian

The Blackburn College Volleyball Team started fast but couldn't finish as the Beavers dropped a 3-1 non-conference match at Lincoln Christian University on Saturday morning.  Blackburn won the first set 25-19 before dropping the next three by scores of 25-20, 25-22, and 25-22. Sophomore Lucy Magnussen led Blackburn in kills with eleven, while Kasey Bean had ten kills and Kaitlyn Wiegand had nine.  Kendall Burleyson, who recently went over the 1,000 assist career mark had 18 assists to lead the Beavers.  Burleyson also had five serving aces for Blackburn.  Freshman Amanda Swedberg had 14 digs to lead Blackburn.

Blackburn falls to 0-6 on the season and will play Tuesday night at Monmouth College at 7:00 p.m.
