Tuetken, Wrightsman Earn Blackburn Athletes of the Week

CARLINVILLE, IL -- Juniors Caidy Tuetken and Bryce Wrightsman were named the Blackburn College Athletes of the Week for their successes last week. 

Tuetken led the women's golf team to a win over Westminster College and Fontbonne University on a rainy day of golf. Tuetken posted a team-best 82 which put her second overall. 

Wrightsman posted the men's golf team's best round in Mondays golf meet with Westminster. The junior shot a round of 76 to help guide the team to a tie in their final meet of the fall season. His score placed him second overall. 

This week, the women's golf team visited Jacksonville for the Country Club Classic on Monday. Thursday sees the men's and women's golf team host Mississippi University for Women in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchups. On Saturday, volleyball heads to Greenville University to take on Spalding University and Westminster in SLIAC contests, while both soccer teams head to Spalding for more SLIAC action. The week concludes Sunday when the women's golf squad opens the SLIAC Championships in Metamora.
