EDWARDSVILLE, IL - Blackburn College Baseball visited NCAA Division I foe Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Wednesday night in a single game. The Cougars were able to score early as they defeated Blackburn 14-1.

Juniors Andrew Lozano and C.J. Brunaugh both had triples for the Beavers. 

SIUE scored multiple runs in the first three innings but the Beavers put a run across in the fifth. Brunaugh got on with a triple. Freshman Dominic Medrano followed with a sacrifice fly to centerfield which allowed Brunaugh to score. 

Blackburn will now return to St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action by hosting Lyon College Saturday and Sunday in doubleheaders. Saturday's games will be considered conference games while Sunday's doubleheader will be nonconference play.
