With Basketball season getting ready to start, the SLIAC preseason rankings have been released for men's and women's basketball.  With the men's team coming off its hottest season since 2002. The men's team enters the season being pre-season ranked 4th in the conference.  Coming into the season, the Beavers lose four seniors from last year but return several key players in Nigel Ferrell, Duncan King, Jamaya Wyatt, and Byson Kirby.  While adding several transfers and new players to the roster, the Beavers look to build off of a successful last season.

On the women's side, the Beavers are coming off a rebuilding year where they return all 5 starters and look for several incoming freshmen look to make some noise as well.  Receiving a pre-season conference rank of 8th out of 9, the women's team looks to defy the odds of the rankings and use it as motivation moving forward.
