Aldridge and Kirby Named All-Region

The Blackburn College Men’s Basketball accolades keep coming. Chanz Aldridge and Austin Kirby were named to the All-Central Region Team. Kirby was named the central region coach of the year while Aldrige was named to the 2nd Team all-region and is also now eligible to be named to an All-American team. 

Second year head coach Kirby led the Beavers to an impressive 9-1 season including winning the regular season St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title and also the SLIAC postseason title. This is Blackburn’s first postseason championship since 2005. 

Aldridge (Hillside, Illinois / St. Joseph High School) led the way for the Beavers this year averaging 23 points per game, 4.8 rebounds, and tallying 3.4 assists a game. He also added a new career high this year at 38 points in a game at Iowa Wesleyan. Aldridge also had a big impact on defense as he was included on the conference all-defensive team.
