LOUISVILLE, KY- Blackburn College Men's Basketball travels to Spalding University but fell short 64-57.
Senior Izayah Talmadge led the Beavers with 17 points, five steals, and seven rebounds. Sophomore Darius Duff added eight points and five rebounds for the Beavers.
Blackburn got out to a good start tied 8-8, led by Cayden Paquette with two layups, a jumper from Darius Duff, and a layup from Izayah Talmadge. The Beavers continued to fight throughout the first half but fell short 29-24 going into halftime.
The Beavers were able to shorten the Eagle's lead to 41-36 with a three-pointer from Tyson Johnson and a layup from Cayden Paquette. The Beavers were unable to get any closer, the Eagles clinched the win.
Blackburn moves to 2-5 overall and 1-1 in Conference. The Beavers will be back in action on Saturday at 3:00 PM at Blackburn College vs the Westminster Bluejays.
