IOWA -- The Blackburn College Men's Basketball team visited Iowa prior to the team's winter break and took on Grinnell College and Loras College in nonconference action.

IOWA -- The Blackburn College Men's Basketball team visited Iowa prior to the team's winter break and took on Grinnell College and Loras College in nonconference action.
Junior Nick Cook led the way with 18 points per game on 68% shooting, scoring 23 points at Grinnell and 18 points at Loras. Junior Darius Duff added 17 points per game while adding nine assists and five steals. He scored 22 points at Grinnell.
Junior Caleb Schaab chipped in with 15 points per game while leading the team with seven rebounds per the two games. He posted his first career double double at Grinnell with 10 points and 10 rebounds then posted a career-high 20 points at Loras. Sophomore Odis Grissom posted 10.5 points per game along with 5.5 rebounds per game.
In the team's game with Grinnell, the hosts managed to jump out to an early lead which ultimately proved too much for the Beavers to overcome and eventually fell 120-79.
Blackburn then visited Loras and outscored the DuHawks 43-36 in the second half but it wouldn't be enough as they dropped the contest 87-72.
The Beavers since took on Eastern Illinois University in an exhibition game on December 28. The next host Dubuque University Monday, December 30.
