Second Half Rally Not Enough
CARLINVILLE, IL– The Blackburn College Men's Basketball team took on St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent Greenville University on Saturday night. The Beavers outscored the Panthers 58-48 in the second half but were unable to overcome a slow first half, taking a heartbreaking loss, 112-100.

The Beavers outscored the Panthers 58-48 in the second half but were unable to overcome a slow first half, taking a heartbreaking loss, 112-100.
Junior Darius Duff led the Beavers Saturday night recording 19 points and tacking along 3 steals on the night. Brody Barr recorded a double-double on the night with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Odis Grissom scored 17 points and tacked on 8 rebounds, followed by Ayson Mcluskie with 15 points. The Beavers would struggle in the first half getting outscored by 22 points. Greenville's fast-paced play style proved to be effective in the first as the Beavers struggled to stop it.
The second half told a different story as the Beavers were able to come out and shut the Greenville offense down and outscored their opponent 58-48. The initial deficit proved to be too much and the Beavers were unable to complete the comeback losing 112-100.
The Blackburn College Men's Basketball team returns to action on Wednesday as they travel to Westminster College in SLIAC action.
