CARLINVILLE, IL — The Blackburn College Men's Basketball team hosted Mississippi University for Women in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action. The Beavers fought hard but fell short, losing 60-47.
MUW controlled the game early, taking a 32-19 lead into halftime. Blackburn showed resilience in the second half, matching MUW with 28 points, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.
Leading the Beavers in scoring was Kameron Hanvey, who posted 10 points while adding 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Nick Cook contributed 10 points as well, securing 8 rebounds. Darius Duff provided a spark off the bench with 9 points on an efficient 3-of-4 shooting. Brody Barr chipped in 8 points, while Odis Grissom added 5 points and a steal.
The Beavers look to bounce back on Saturday, February 15th when they take on Lyon University in SLIAC action.
