Beavers struggle in Windy Conditions

On March 24th the Blackburn Men's Golf team competed in a quad match hosted by Lewis and Clark Community College.  The Beavers found themselves in windy conditions and struggle to find a way to conquer the always tough Belk Park Golf Course in Alton, IL.  However, one lone Beaver found his way into the top 5.  Placing 4th on the afternoon was Kyle Kesinger who went out and braved the conditions and was able to come into the clubhouse with a team high 78.  Kesinger tied with another competitor and won his first scorecard playoff of his career.  As a team the Beavers shot a 356 placing them 4th out of the four teams competing.  Winning the tournament was John A. Logan College who shot 312 as a team.  Coming in 2nd was Lewis and Clark who shot 320 as a team and following close behind was Mineral Area College who shot one more stroke worse at 321 as a team to take 3rd

The Beavers look to continue their season on April 4th when the team travels to Iowa Wesleyan College.  The tee off times are set for 11 am.
