Blackburn struggles at Conference Preview

The Blackburn Men's Golf Team fell to Fontbonne and Spaulding in the Spring Opener Conference Preview. The match was held in Louisville, Kentucky at the Polo Fields Country Club on March 25th.

The Conference Preview Tournament was a very cold morning for the Beavers in Louisville and also the toughest course they have played so far this year and scores reflected it. Even with the tough conditions, senior Thomas White still put together a strong 83 and shot 2+ on the back nine. Freshman Conner Dorries would continue to stay a consistent force for Blackburn and shoot an 84. Sophomore Alex Kueker would struggle and put up his worst score of the season with a 90. Blackburn's final scores would be filled out by the two newcomers as Shane Greathouse would shoot a 92 and Justin Atkinson would put together a 99.

Blackburn would finish 3rd in the Conference Preview with Spaulding shooting a 312, Fontbonne shooting a 324, and Blackburn would shoot a 349.

The Beaver's next match will be held Tuesday, March 29th in Iowa for the annual Tiger Classic.
