Winning Streak Ends as Blackburn Falls, 5-1

The Blackburn College men's soccer team lost 5-1 in thier first SLIAC matchup of the season. The Fontbonne University Griffins put a damper on Homecoming and the winning streak.

The Beavers were down rather quickly as Fontbonne scored nine minutes into the game and then again ten minutes later. By the time halftime came around, the score was 4-0.

Alex Miller gave the Beavers a little sense of comeback by scoring three minutes after halftime. Zac Ruyle played a wonderful ball into the box and Miller smashed it home with a header. That was all the scoring Blackburn could do for the afternoon.
