Yolo De Leon scored a goal at the 89th minute to give Blackburn College a thrilling 4-3 victory over Principia College on Saturday morning in Carlinville. Blackburn controlled much of the early action and out-shot Principia 28-10 on the day. Principia opened the scoring at 12:32 when Pablo Alas launched a long free kick into the goal giving the Panthers a 1-0 lead which lasted to halftime.
The Beavers tied the match on a free kick by Jaime Pineda at 52:00. Blackburn made it 2-1 five minutes later on a header by Anthony Coppotelli off a corner kick from Hayden Reese. Five minutes later, Blackburn struck again at 62:27 as Edmond Ainomugisha scored with the assist credited to Dylan Klunk.
Principia tied the score on a pair of goals at 70:23 and 76:42.
Blackburn moves to 3-4 on the season while Principia falls to 2-4.
