Romeo Godinez, freshman midfielder from Anna, has been named the Reno's Pizza Player of the Week.
Godinez and the Beavers played a tough match on Saturday afternoon. SLIAC opponent Spalding University was winning 1-0 for a majority of the game.
With just under 20 minutes left to play, Luke Atkinson fed Godinez an upfield pass. Godinez took the pass past two defenders and slipped it just past the goalkeeper. This tied the game for the Beavers.
Godinez and the Beavers will turn around and play their next match at Webster University on Wednesday evening. Kickoff for the men's game is set for 7:30 p.m.
