JACKSONVILLE, IL. – Feb. 8, 2025 – The Blackburn College Track & Field team continued its indoor season at the Jim Green Invite, hosted by Illinois College, with multiple school records, personal bests, and strong performances.

Highlights from the meet:
Kobe Patton made his debut in the long jump, recording a best jump of 4.97m, and also broke his own school record in the 200m, clocking 26.65.
Julio Palma also competed in the 200m, running 27.95.
Byron McNeil posted a best mark of 12.87m in the triple jump.
Michaela Moulton represented Blackburn in the shot put.
Sam Burrows and Collyn Oberkfell both set indoor PRs in the 800m, with Burrows setting a new school record in 2:11.72, while Oberkfell followed closely in 2:13.05.
Landan Tribble ran his first open 400m, finishing in 58.75.
Olivia Leemon delivered a standout performance in the 3,000m, breaking the school record with a time of 13:12.21.
Christian Miller and Ulises Espinoza both set PRs in the mile.
The team capped off the day with the 4x400m relay, featuring Landan Tribble, Collyn Oberkfell, Christian Miller, and Sam Burrows.
Men's and Women's Track and Field are back in action on 3/1 at the SLIAC Indoor Championships hosted by Principia College.
