BELLEVILLE, IL - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has named freshman Kailynn Kruep the SLIAC Softball Hitter of the Week. 

Kruep led the Beavers by batting .438 on the week, getting seven hits in 16 at bats while hitting a double, a triple and two home runs in five games. She also scored five runs while posting five runs batted in as well. 

Blackburn finished the week 3-2 by sweeping Eureka College and sweeping Mississippi University for Women. They fell to Greenville University in extra innings. 

Since returning from injury on April 10, the freshman has hit .368 and has a team -est 14 hits along with 10 RBI's. She has also added two stolen base over the two week span. 

The team returns to action Tuesday for a single game at Greenville then wrap up the season Saturday by hosting Principia College for Senior Day.
