Softball Places Four on All-SLIAC Teams

BELLEVILLE, IL - The Blackburn College Softball team saw four players earn St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference honors. 

Freshman Kenadee Frey was named to the All-SLIAC First Team after finishing the conference season with a team-best 16 hits and 16 runs scored. She also led the team with five doubles and had seven runs batted in. Her .340 batting average was second on the team. For the season, Frey notched a total of 37 hits, 12 doubles, four triples and four home runs while scoring 30 runs and knocking 17. During Tuesday's SLIAC Quarterfinal, she led the game off with a homer and added an RBI double later.

Julianna Tabian was placed on the All-SLIAC Second Team. The junior finished the regular season with a team best .446 batting average, posting 26 hits, five doubles, and 10 runs scored along with 17 RBI's. She also finished 4-1 from the pitching circle.

Earning All-SLIAC Third-Team distinction was freshman Kailynn Kruep. Kruep tallied 25 hits with seven doubles, two triples and two home runs while also scoring 17 runs and knocking in 12. She led the team with five stolen bases as well. She finished the conference season hitting .351 to lead the team.

Senior Natalie Keith was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team. Keith was a key contributor to the team and made several important plays throughout the season. 

The Beavers finished the regular season at 17-21 which is the most wins since the 2013 season and made their first SLIAC Tournament appearance since 2012.
