Women's Basketball falls to Spalding in Second SLIAC Game

LOUISVILLE, KY- Blackburn College Women's Basketball Travels to Lousiville Kentucky for their Second Conference game of the season, but fell to the Eagles 73-56.

Freshman Kailynn Kruep led the Beavers with 20 points, two assists, and grabbed four rebounds. Freshman Kenadee Frey added eight points while Ella Wilson chipped in 8 rebounds.

Blackburn College came out slow, down 6-0 in the first quarter, the offensive side got started with 3 good jumpers from Wilson, Frey, and Kruep making the game 6-7. A good Free throw by Kenadee Frey ties up the game 7-7 in the first. The Eagles responded with a rally to take a 29-26 lead before the half. 

The Beavers were able to make it 56-38 at the end of the third quarter but were unable to take the lead. The Eagles took control of the rest of the game to take the victory. 

The Beavers drops to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in the Conference, they look to bounce back on Saturday against the Westminster Bluejays at 1:00 PM at Blackburn College
