Blue Jays Fly over the Beavers

The leading scorers for the Beavers were Senior Miley Kwiatkowski with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Sophomore India Harris and Sophomore Ella Wilson also put up 7 points a piece. Harris added 8 rebounds and Wilson had 3 rebounds.
Sophomore Kenadee Frey helps to get the Beavers to get out early with a three pointer within the first two minutes of the half. The Blue Jays took control early on in the first quarter with a 6 point stretch. Kwiatkowski drains a three to bring the Beavers within 6. A put back by Junior Caidy Tuetken puts them within 4. The Blue Jays were persistent and pulled away with the lead. Kwiatkowski put up a three and Freshman Miya Means sunk two free throws to keep the Beavers in the first half. The Beavers were successful from the line as they shot 66%. Beavers trailed going into the half.
In the second half, Wilson was down in the paint early earning points for the Beavers. Harris with a fast break layup to continue their fight to keep pace with Westminster. Kwiatkowski drains another before the Blue Jays prevail in their victory over the Beavers.
The Beavers are back for more conference action, on the road, as they travel to Columbus, Mississippi to take on the Owls of MUW.
