CARLINVILLE, IL – The Blackburn College Women's Basketball team hosted Greenville University in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday, February 1st, at Dawes Gymnasium. The Beavers struggled against a dominant Greenville squad, falling 97-39.
Greenville took control early, leading 19-7 after the first quarter and extending their advantage to 53-13 at halftime. Blackburn showed more fight in the second half but could not close the gap as Greenville sealed the victory.
Kenadee Frey led the Beavers with 14 points, including three three-pointers, while adding four rebounds. India Harris followed with 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals. Becca Benoit contributed 6 points and 5 rebounds, and Caidy Tuetken was active on the boards with a team-high 10 rebounds.
The Beavers will look to regroup and bounce back in their next SLIAC matchup, which is on Wednesday, February 5th, when they take on the Westminster Bluejays on the road.
