Golfers Take Third at Country Club Classic

JACKSONVILLE, IL -- The Blackburn College Women's Golf team competed in the Country Club Classic hosted by Illinois College Monday and came away with a third place finish. 

Junior Allison Woolard led the squad with a score of 88. Junior Caidy Tuetken finished with a 90. 

Freshman Grace LeMarr was third on the team with a 94 while senior Keeleigh Pilcher rounded out the team score. 

As a team, the Beavers finished with a team score 387 to finish ahead of Eureka College, Fontbonne University and Westminster College. 

The team now turns their attention to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships. The Championships begins Sunday, October 6 and continues Monday and Tuesday. Play will take place at Metamora Fields in Metamore, Illinois.
