Women's Golf Earns Sportsmanship Team, Places Sixth at SLIAC Championships
METAMORA, IL -- The Blackburn College Women's Golf team was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golf Sportsmanship Team while earning a sixth place finish at the SLIAC Championships. Senior Keeleigh Pilcher was also named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
METAMORA, IL -- The Blackburn College Women's Golf team was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golf Sportsmanship Team while earning a sixth place finish at the SLIAC Championships. Senior Keeleigh Pilcher was also named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Blackburn finished ahead of SLIAC rivals Eureka College, Fontbonne University and Westminster College.
Leading the squad was junior Allison Woolard with a final score of 285 over three days put her in 32nd place as she posted rounds of 101, 87, and 97. Junior Caidy Tuetken, with rounds of 100, 97 and 92, placed 35th with a final of 289.
Freshman Grace LeMarr placed 37th after her rounds of 101, 94 and 100 gave her a final tally of 295.
Pilcher, 358, and sophomore Rylee Lovelace, 371, rounded out the team.
With the conclusion of the SLIAC Championships, the women's team now enjoys significant time off before returning to compete in the spring.
