Blackburn lost a rough match Monday against Lindenwood - Belleville. Though the score doesn't show much, the match was definitely a rough competition between the two teams.

Belleville might have scored six goals, but thats nothing compared to the amount of saves Shana Sewick(Belvidere, Ill.) had in goal. Sewick was relentless and saved many great shots that most keepers wouldn't have been able to get to.

The Beavers had to shots on goal, one by Nique Byots(Carlinville, Ill.) and the other by Sarah Collman(Staunton, Ill.). While the beavers tried their best to move forward on the field, Lindenwood's offense wouldn't hold back. The match turned into a very defensive game for Blackburn and it's obvious that the women are improving in communication and passing.

The Beavers play MacMurray at home on Saturday at 3:00pm in their first conference game of the season.
