Blackburn Women's Soccer Defeated by Greenville

The Blackburn Women's Soccer Team ended their season with a 6-0 loss to conference rival Greenville on a cold afternoon, at Blackburn College in Carlinville Illinois. The cold condtions made it difficult to play in and the Beavers just couldnt get anything going on the offensive side of the ball. In the end it was a great first season for coach Akhavein as she was able to see what her players can do and prepare them for next season, and hope to come out bigger, better and hungrier.

Stats of the Game:

  • Goal keeper Maria Cline made ten saves on sixteen shots.
  • Maya March had three shots for the Lady beavers.
  • The Panthers were led by Kate Arthur who had seven total shots, seven shots on goal, and four goals; and Dani Pearce who had five total shots, two shots on goal, and two assits.

Also the team would like to thank all the parents and fans for their great support all season long and they hope to see them out cheering them on next season.
